The Ice Station Valencia and the Valencia Flyers Youth Hockey Club are hosting a carnival Labor Day weekend to support the Valencia Flyers Youth Hockey team.
“This carnival benefits the Valencia Flyer program,” said Ron Waldman, manager at the Valencia Ice Station. “We’re trying to raise money for the hockey team so we can provide sticks and jersey’s so they don’t have to buy them.”
The carnival will run 1 p.m. through 11 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. It will also be open 1 p.m. through 7 p.m. on Monday. The carnival is located in the Ice Station Valencia parking lot.
“This carnival is open to everyone, it’s very hot right now but we expect a lot of people to come this evening when it cools down,” Waldman said.
The rides are provided by Baque Bros Classic Rides and Amusement. A typical ride is between 3 and 5 tickets, and tickets come in packs of 10 for $10.
“We’re hoping a lot of people come and help out the hockey team,” he said “A percentage of the proceeds will go to the hockey team.”
