CHP Responds To Fatal Crash Near Rowher Flats, Two Airlifted To Hospital -- August 1, 2015

California Highway Patrol officers are responding to a fatal traffic collision near Rowher Flats in Agua Dulce.


CHP found a reported missing vehicle and the three occupants of the vehicle around 8:10 a.m. Los Angeles County Fire officials responded to the scene around 6:50 a.m.

Two people were airlifted to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital and “are in altering states of consciousness” while one person was reportedly dead on arrival, according to CHP.

“It’s in an inaccessible area and off roader’s area,” said Supervising Fire Dispatcher Cheryl Sims with theLACoFD, “They’ve been missing since last night. Coroner officials are on their way.”

The person who was reportedly dead on arrival has been identified as a male by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office, however no other information has been released.

CHP officials are requesting Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Search and Rescue and Fish and Game officials help.

The three people were reported missing around 5:30 p.m. Friday, according to CHP. A helicopter located the two people around 7 a.m. Saturday morning.

One person was reportedly ejected from the vehicle while another was found walking, according to CHP.
