Emergency officials responded to a fatal traffic collision between a truck and a motorcycle in the Canyon Country area, officials said Wednesday.
The crash occurred between a pick-up truck and a motorcycle on the northbound side of Sierra Highway at Sand Canyon Road, officials said.
One patient was treated at the scene and one patient was dead on arrival, said Inspector Randall Wright with the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The crash was reported around 7:02 a.m. and emergency crews were on scene by 7:07 a.m.
A Sigalert was issued at 8:22 a.m. for four hours.
Officials are waiting to transport the body via Coroner, officials said. A tow truck was called as of 9:36 a.m.
UPDATE: 12:52 p.m.
Officials received a phone call from a possible family member and investigators are working to determine the identification of the body, said Lt. Fred Corral with the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office.
