Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Parks Bureau deputies responded to Vasquez Rocks for what turned out to be a false report that movie stars Charlize Theron and Sean Penn were allegedly mistreating their 2-year-old son, officials said Thursday.
“They were there enjoying the park and enjoying the sunrise. Theron and Penn were walking around with their dogs on a leash and their child (Jackson),” said Johnny Jones, public
information officer for the LASD Parks Bureau. “Somebody heard the child crying or screaming and thought that something happened with the child. They were concerned for the child’s safety.”
The call came in at 6:41 a.m. Thursday morning, he said. County Parks Bureau deputies were sent out to the location.
“Everybody’s OK. Everybodys good,” Jones said. “There was no (law) broken, and everyone was amicable.”
