Jessica Boyer is a photographer, producer and journalist whose work focuses on community, education and documentary storytelling.
She is currently the Production Manager of SCVTV, the Santa Clarita Valley's local nonprofit Community Media Center, where she oversees programs that promote the community's nonprofits, schools, businesses, events and other organizations. She was recently named an honoree of SCV 40 Under Forty, an honor that recognizes young professionals who serve in leadership capacities in both nonprofit and business organizations in the community.
Programs that she coordinates include Finding Art Santa Clarita, SCV Today, the Santa Clarita Valley Fourth of July Parade, Hart District Future Chefs Culinary Throwdown, Newsmaker of the Week, and a 2-hour documentary about the City of Santa Clarita's 30th anniversary titled "City of Santa Clarita: Fulfilling the Dream."
She also oversees the day-to-day operations of SCVTV, has continuously worked to bring new programming to the station, and has worked to develop and strengthen community relationships with the station. She's facilitated projects that include and benefit nonprofit organizations and students. These projects include hands-on training on SCVTV productions and free Public Service Announcements for nonprofits and schools.
Jessica also serves on the Santa Clarita Valley Fourth of July Parade Committee and the College of the Canyons & Hart School District Media Entertainment Arts Advisory Board.
She has also been a media and news contributor to the NBC Los Angeles; KHTS AM 1220; élite Magazine; Pierce College Roundup News; California State University, Northridge Sundial; KCSN; and Newsarama. She is a graduate of Hart District, COC, and CSUN.
